Lavata leather, also known as Washed Leather, is made by washing already tanned and dyed natural leather in large industrial drums with water and softening agents. The intensive tumbling process softens the leather fibres, partially lightens the surface and creates its characteristic natural creases. The result is exceptionally soft, supple leather with a naturally aged vintage appearance from the very beginning.
